Retiring GABC pastor reflects on ministry, plans to continue even away from pulpit

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - About a year ago Pastor David Dykes at Green Acres Baptist Church began conversations about retirement and when a good time would be. He recently announced that he’ll be retiring on August 31, 2021.
On March 1, Pastor David Dykes marked 30 years of preaching, teaching, and leading Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler. In all this time, Dykes says some of the moments that stand out most are from mission projects.
Given the direct correlation between taking control of ones finances and well-being, women are taking action by getting involved in financial decision-making. 67% make joint decisions with their spouse and 21% women say that they handle them independently.
